I was in Istanbul during the twin bombing attacks by the Besiktas stadium. The flag of Turkey on Taksim Square (this is the view from my hotel room; we were pretty close to the site) flying half-mast the day after as a sign of mourning. What's amazing I discovered is the resilience of the Turkish people who will never back down and let terrorism win. I join them in this quest.
