Artelano 11 is seriously one of Manila’s greatest art/ design gems. We featured it in the Wallpaper* City Guide for Manila that we authored a couple of years ago, and thanks to the invitation of my friend JJ Acuna (also known as The Wanderlister), we came by the compound for an event they were having with Spektacularis, impresario for Czech glass projects in art and design.
The Spektacularis event featured collaborations with Filipino artists Gabriel Lichauco, Liliana Manahan and Stanley Ruiz. Their beautiful pieces are up for sale at Artelano 11.
Artelano 11 is owned by Eric Paras, who lives on the compound. Apart from Spektacularis, he sells furniture, art, accessories and kitchenware in the other houses in there. As we wrote in Wallpaper, “Artelano 11 comprises four connected properties, the foil of Eric Paras’ eclectic collection of art deco and mid-century inspired pieces, some of which he designs himself, a s well as re-imagined Filipino craft and home accessories sourced all over the world.”
I need to tell you though that inventory changes regularly so the next time you come back you might not see the same pieces you saw last time. Have a look below– and don’t wait too long before making a visit! PS You can also rent out the space to hold events like trunk shows and cocktail parties. It was great! Was so chill and easy, refreshing (we even had spam musubi for pica-pica, straight from Eric’s kitchen!) from the sort I’m accustomed to in Makati.
The compound is also home to The Henry Hotel (we featured their Cebu property in the Wallpaper* City Guide for Manila as well) and Apartment 1B. It’s a very creative space– boutique, historical, and filled with art, design and inspiration; a great place to shop, eat, spend a weekend staycation, and bring guests visiting from overseas. They’ll love it.
Artelano 11 is open daily from 10AM to 7PM. It is located at 2680 FB Harrison Street, Pasay City 1300, Philippines. Phone +632 832 9972; Moile +639178582680; Email hi@artelano11.ph
